NEW MANAGING PARTNER ASSUMES POST AT WINDES & MCCLAUGHRY ACCOUNTANCY CORPORATION
Effective Immediately, John Di Carlo Starts as Managing Partner of One of Southern California’s Most Respected CPA Firms
LONG BEACH, CA – June 1, 2009 — Windes & McClaughry Accountancy Corporation, a Southern California accounting and consulting firm with more than 82 years in business, announced today that John Di Carlo has assumed the role of managing partner. Di Carlo succeeds Jack Hinsche who retires on June 30th after 38 years with the firm. Di Carlo becomes the firm’s 7th managing partner since its founding in 1926.
Since September of 2007, Di Carlo has served as managing partner-elect. The transition continues the firm's history of a successful leadership change from one generation to the next by owners who are not related.

Di Carlo joined Windes & McClaughry in 1981. He has worked with clients in real estate, distribution, manufacturing, and professional services. His previous role was chairman of the Tax and Accounting Services Department. That role has been assumed by Jim Cordova.
Di Carlo graduated with a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Loyola Marymount University and master of business taxation degree from Golden Gate University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA). Di Carlo serves on the boards of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach and the Long Beach Symphony Association.
